Your tour begins with a warm welcome at Paro Airport, followed by a scenic drive to Thimphu, the vibrant capital. Here, you’ll explore iconic sites such as Tachog Lhakhang, Thimphu Tashichho Dzong, and the local archery ground. The journey continues to Punakha, home to the stunning Punakha Dzong and the Pho Chhu Suspension Bridge. In Paro, you’ll embark on a hike to the legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched high above the valley. The tour concludes with a heartfelt farewell as you depart from this enchanting land.

The cost given below is inclusive of the sustainable development fee (SDF) of US $100 per person per night and the Bhutan visa fee of US $40 per person.

Entrance fees for monuments and festival visits are to be paid separately.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Arrive at Paro International Airport
  • Meet up with our representative 
  • En route visit Tachog Lhakhang (Iron Chain Bridge) built by Tibetan bridge builder Thangtong Gyelpo over the Pa Chhu (Paro River).
  • Arrive in Thimphu (2,300 meters), check in at your hotel, and freshen up.
  • Visit the exquisite Thimphu Tashichho Dzong, a masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture.
  • Explore the local archery ground where locals celebrate the national sport with dance and song after every hit.
  • Take an evening stroll around Thimphu town to absorb the magical atmosphere of the capital city and witness contemporary Bhutanese life.
  • Overnight stay at a hotel in Thimphu.
  • After breakfast at hotel, capture the vibrant Buddha Dordenma statue in the early morning sunrise. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and the gorgeous view of Thimphu city from this mountain.
  • Then drive to Punakha (the ancient capital of Bhutan), en route stop at dochu-la pass (3,088m/10,130ft) and admire 108 Chortens, Mani wall, and prayer flags.
  • Enjoy coffee with panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges.
  • Upon arrival in Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong, historic fortress at river junction and is arguably the most beautiful Dzong in Bhutan.
  • Explore Pho Chhu Suspension Bridge (160 meters) with views of Punakha Dzong and Pho Chhu Valley

  • Drive to Paro with a stop at Lamperi Botanical Garden.
  • En route visit Semtokha Dzong

  • Hike through the pristine surroundings to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
